Eve of Trial Prediction: Liberty German will Solve Her Own Murder with Help from Photogrammetry – Delphi Trial

Delphi Trial: Bridge guy video height recorded by liberty german delphi murders

At the upcoming Delphi Trial, one person will be responsible for solving a double murder, or freeing a wrongfully accused man… and she passed away 8 years ago. Liberty German, one of the two teenage victims at the center of this tragic case, concealed her cellphone to record a short video of a man approaching her and her best friend, Abigail Williams, as they walked across a 70-foot-high abandoned Monon Railway bridge on February 13, 2017. Moments later, this man would force the girls off the bridge (reportedly while brandishing a gun), down a steep hill, and across a creek into a wooded ravine, where he brutally murdered them with an unknown edged weapon.

When searchers and law enforcement arrived at the scene the following day, something unexpected had survived the treacherous journey down the precipitous bluff and through the icy waters: Liberty’s iPhone.

The 46-second clip captures only a brief “full body shot” of the killer from approximately 70 feet away. Likely due to Liberty’s efforts to conceal that she was filming, the video is shaky and highly pixelated, offering few discernible features aside from a blue jacket and jeans.

Because the ‘Bridge Guy’ is nearly faceless, many have speculated that the video will offer little value in court for visually confirming whether Richard Allen is the man in the footage. However, I believe Liberty’s video will be the single most crucial piece of evidence in the entire Delphi trial, possessing the potential to establish with nearly 99% certainty whether Richard Allen is a double child killer or a wrongfully accused man.

‘Photogrammetry.’ This is the term to watch for at trial, and it’s a subject both the prosecution and defense should have nearly mastered after two years of trial preparation.

Photogrammetry is the science of measuring a person’s …

Transcribing the Delphi Trial

In the event cameras are not allowed in the courtroom at the upcoming Delphi murders trial, using shorthand transcripts could act as a safety net.

Since January, I have been enrolled in a shorthand class, learning a pen-and-paper technique for recording the spoken word. This serves as a precaution in case cameras are not allowed in the courtroom for the Delphi trial.

My goal is to attend and transcribe the trial (and possibly pre-trial hearings of importance), publicly releasing the notes daily.

To accomplish this, I will need assistance, including volunteers I can send the notes to for prep/upload.

This is a placeholder page. In the coming days I will update this with detailed information.

Thank you so much!

DELPHI MURDERS: Richard Allen Court Hearing TRANSCRIPT (Attorneys Withdraw)

BALIFF: All rise for the court is now in session. The Honorable Fran Gull presiding.

JUDGE FRAN GULL: Thank you, you may be seated.

(To staff member) [Are] we on?

Alright, we are on the record in State of Indiana versus Richard Allen 08C01-2210MR-01.

Thank you for your patience ladies and gentlemen. Thank you Mr. McLeland, Mr. Luttrell, for your patience.

Um, we’ve had an unexpected turn of events ladies and gentlemen.

Earlier this afternoon, the defense attorneys have withdrawn their representation of Mr. Allen.

Mr. Baldwin made an oral Motion to Withdraw.

I granted that oral Motion to Withdraw, and Mr. Rozzi will be submitting a written Motion to Withdraw, I’m assuming within the next couple of days. They have confirmed with the court that Mr. Allen’s financial situation remains static, meaning he is continuing to be entitled to appointed counsel. I will reach out to public defenders to make that appointment.

As Mr. Allen is now without counsel I’ve ordered him transported back to the Department of Correction.

Mr. McLeland, I know that we have already scheduled a hearing in the Carroll Circuit Court October 31st at 9am. I’d like to maintain that hearing if we can please?

NICK McLELAND: Yes, Your Honor.

JUDGE GULL: I think at that point, we can have counsel appointed. I’d like to set a new trial date. Obviously, I don’t believe counsel will be prepared within the next couple of months to try a case of this magnitude in January. So, we’ll set dates for the trial. I think we need to set a date as well for the suppression hearing that was filed, now by former counsel.

I have asked the attorneys to provide all of the discovery previously provided to [send] back to the State of Indiana. I know I …

Cameras in Courtroom Likely at Richard Allen Delphi Murders Hearing

Richard Allen Delphi Murders - Cameras allowed in Delphi trial

Will Cameras be allowed in the courtroom at Richard Allen’s 10/19/23 hearing? Signs point to ‘Yes’ according to news crew member assigned to cover the event at Allen County Courthouse in Fort Wayne, Indiana [Delphi Murders Case]

Cameras are expected to be present in the courtroom during Richard Allen’s status hearing on October 19th, according to an acquaintance who will be attending as part of a broadcasting team.

This individual, who requested that any non-essential identifying information be withheld, is a long-time employee of a digital television network. They received their assignment yesterday.

Judge Fran Gull, who is presiding over the hearing, has not yet issued an official order pertaining to broadcasting. While not written in stone, there appears to be a reasonable expectation that permission to film will be granted.

“It would be pool coverage.” (A ‘pool’ is common arrangement where one designated media organization records the proceeding and shares it with other press outlets in the pool. This allows access to the hearing while minimizing disruptions that come with a convey of cameras in a courtroom.)

“I don’t think [Judge Gull] has officialized it yet, so there is always a chance we could hear ‘Sorry guys, she reconsidered and it’s off the table,’ but I’m pretty sure it’s going to be a green light.”

When surveyed on the measure for ‘Pretty sure’, they responded in good humor, “‘Pretty sure’ enough that [network] has paid for plane tickets. If they’re spending money, that’s always a good gauge!”

Over the next 48 hours, we will be monitoring electronic case documents and will update this page if an order allowing (or denying) broadcasting is filed.

If permission to film and televise the October 19th Delphi Murders / Richard Allen court date is granted, we intend to provide real-time updates and a …

Is a Richard Allen Plea Deal in the Works? Delphi Murders Case –

After a Delphi case news drought, rumors of impending Richard Allen plea deal take flight

While the summer of 2023 marked one of the hottest seasons on record, July and August ushered in a subtle cooldown in public case filings and updates pertaining to the Delphi murders case. Following a whirlwind of activity surrounding a pivotal June 15th hearing, and the subsequent release of documents on July 28th in response to a Motion for Public Access to Court Records filed by Áine Cain and Kevin Greenlee of Murder Sheet LLC, the dog days of summer rolled along with little news.

As the calendars changed to September, online whispers gained momentum, hinting at imminent, groundbreaking news regarding the case: Richard Allen, the 50-year-old Delphi resident facing charges in the murders of Liberty German and Abigail Williams, was allegedly engaged in active negotiations for a plea deal.

The original origins of these rumors remain shrouded in mystery, yet they undeniably sparked a fervor of speculation and discussion. Do they hold any substance? At present, no involved party has come forward to affirm or refute these claims, though this is to be expected, as the imposed gag-order forbids public commentary from many closely involved in the proceedings.

We seldom venture into the realm of opinion-writing or sharing unattributable information. However, due to the concrete confidence we hold in the individuals we’ve spoken to, and the amount of questions that have come up surrounding possible plea talks, today we will deviate from our customary practices.

As of September 6th, 2023, Richard Allen is NOT engaged in any ongoing discussions or negotiations concerning a plea deal in the Delphi murders case, as per the accounts of three individuals intimately associated with the matter.

Cases of this nature exhibit ebbs and flows, rendering future …

HLN Kegan Kline Interview Transcript – Delphi Murders

BARBARA MACDONALD: [Voiceover narration] I spoke with Kegan Kline back in December, shortly after his name became public associated with this case. And this is, as you mentioned, believed to be his only on-camera interview. I know that the taskforce investigating Abby and Libby’s murders have viewed the entire 25 minute interview. And from what I understand, they found that interview helpful. Here’s a little bit of what he had to say to me:

KEGAN KLINE: [Speaking on phone in jail] I feel like I’m being harassed. Completely.

BARBARA MACDONALD: Did you have anything to do with the murders of Abby or Libby?

KEGAN KLINE: No. Not at all. I gave up my DNA, a hair follicle test. I’ve done everything they wanted me to.

BARBARA MACDONALD: [Voiceover narration] In December, Delphi investigators announced the catfish account ‘Anthony_Shots’ was active on Instagram and Snapchat in 2016 and 2017. And they asked for anyone who interacted with that profile to come forward. But more than a year ago, then 26-year-old Kegan Kline admitted to investigators that he was behind the fake profile and that he used it to ask young girls for nude pictures and videos.

BARBARA MACDONALD: Tell me about ‘Anthony_Shots’. Why did you create that profile?

KEGAN KLINE: I don’t… I don’t really know. I was just lonely, you know what I mean? Just talking to people. I don’t know why I did it, really.

BARBARA MACDONALD: And were you ever trying to meet these girls in real life, that you were talking to?

KEGAN KLINE: No, never.

BARBARA MACDONALD: [Voiceover narration] Just 11 days after the murders of Abby and Libby, Taskforce investigators served a search warrant on the home that Kegan shared with his dad. At the time, the FBI told The Lafayette Journal and Courier they …

Crystal Rogers Update – FBI Excavate Driveway of Home Formerly Owned by Brooks Houck

FBI excavate the driveway of home belonged to Brooks Houck, boyfriend of Crystal Rogers, as they search for clues in her disappearance. Location - Bardstown Kentucky - Red Brick house on North Howard Street.

Crystal Rogers FBI Search Updates / August 2021

NOTE: This is an ongoing story that will be updated. Last Update Friday August 27, 2021

Massive news in the case of Crystal Rogers, a 35 year old missing mom-of-five from Kentucky. After taking over the case almost exactly a year ago, the FBI made a sudden return to Crystal’s hometown of Bardstown, Kentucky… and they brought search warrants with them!

On July 5, 2015, Rogers’ 2007 Chevrolet sedan was found abandoned on the side of the Bluegrass Parkway with a flat tire. The keys were still in the ignition, and her purse and cellphone were located inside the vehicle. Two and a half months later, Crystal’s boyfriend, Brooks Houck, was named by then-Sheriff Ed Mattingly as the prime suspect in her disappearance. While police have confirmed they believe she is dead, her remains have never been located.

Upon arrival in Bardstown on Tuesday August 25th, FBI teams began searching three properties in Woodlawn Springs, a 250-acre subdivision in the rural town. A cadaver dog and ground penetrating radar were brought on scene. Sherri Ballard, mother of Rogers, said her family searched the area years prior during an independent investigation into her daughter’s whereabouts. Houck was involved in a construction project in the neighborhood that lined up with the timeframe Crystal went missing.

By the morning of Wednesday August 25, the FBI appeared to narrow their range of focus onto one home on N. Howard Street; more specifically, a section of driveway and bordering gravel drainage ditch. Tents were set up on top of the driveway, shielding agents as they dug up the area with shovels and ran dirt through handheld sifters.

Delphi Murders Debunking: Facts and Fictions

The 2017 unsolved double homicides of teens Liberty German and Abigail Williams (known as The Delphi Murders) is one of the most discussed and debated cases of the social media era, with people across the globe invested in finding a resolution.

While the definitive basics of the case are known, there is still much mystery surrounding the details of what transpired.

With nearly unlimited outlets to discuss the case ranging from message boards and Facebook groups to call-in true crime shows, people often try to bridge the gap between the known and unknown. Sometimes the more circulated theories get taken as fact.

We’ve compiled a list of some of the most oft-repeated rumors circling the Delphi Murders case to either refute or validate with facts from sourced interviews with trusted voices (ex: family, law enforcement) or mark as unknown.

This will remain an open article that will be adjusted and added to as the case continues to progress.

RUMOR: Abby and Libby died on different dates.

FINDING: False.

LIKELY ORIGIN OF RUMOR: In the newspaper, Libby German’s obituary lists her date of death as February 13, 2017.  Abby Williams’ obituary lists her date of death as February 14, 2017.

“Things that have simple explanations have been turned into full-blown conspiracy theories by an online community desperate for answers where there are none. An example of this is the fact that Abby and Libby have different dates of death on their headstones*: Abby’s is February 14th, 2017 but Libby’s is February 13th. This disparity led to rumors that Abby and Libby died on different days… that Abby was still alive when she was found… that the girls had been transported somewhere and kept alive for some time. This could not be further from the truth. Both girls were killed

Chris Watts – New Prison Call Transcript

CHRIS WATTS PRISON PHONE CALL TRANSCRIPT AUDIO JAIL CALL CHRIS WATTS GIRLFRIEND ANNA SHANANN WATTS CASE

– JayIs4Justice Podcast has obtained audio of a Chris Watts jail-house call with his girlfriend & a private investigator.

–  Chris references studying in law library & discusses potential plans to file paperwork under ’35c’: Colorado’s Post-Conviction Relief, which is a way to attempt to vacate verdicts.

–  Believes it was “God’s plan” for him to go to prison

–  Says “I just want to get out of here”

With the release of the Netflix documentary American Murder, there has been a resurgence of interest in the Chris Watts case. From the outside, the Watts appeared to be a picture-perfect American family. Shanann Watts, age 34, was the Colorado mother of two adorable girls (Bella, 4, and Celeste ‘Cece’, 3) and was 15 weeks pregnant with a baby boy. Husband Chris Watts, 35, was by all accounts a doting father who worked long hours as an operator at a petroleum company to provide for his family. But on August 13, 2018 in an act of unspeakable violence and brutality, Chris Watts (who had been living a secret double life engaging in an extra-marital affair with a co-worker) viciously murdered his entire family.

The Watts Family murders quickly became one of the most famous cases in modern history, as the world struggled to comprehend how something so senseless could happen at the hands of a man with no history of violence or abuse. Thousands of pages of case documents and hours of investigatory video were publicly released, with journalists and true crime YouTuber’s analyzing every detail for their audiences.

With Chris Watts currently serving life without parole at Dodge Correctional Institution in Waupun, Wisconsin, insight into his life behind bars has been slim. ‘Jay is 4 Justice’, a YouTuber & podcast host, has been comprehensively covering the case from the beginning …
