February 13th marked the three year anniversary of the deaths of Liberty German (14) and Abigail Williams (13), known as the Delphi Murders. It was unseasonably warm on that day back in 2017, and best friends ‘Libby’ and ‘Abby’ were enjoying a day off from school. Taking advantage of the nice weather, the Indiana teens took a walk on the Delphi Historic Trails in Delphi, IN. When Libby’s father arrived to pick them up two hours later, they were nowhere to be found.
After a massive search, the the bodies of Libby and Abby were found the following day, victims of a double homicide. It was soon discovered that quick-thinking Libby had recorded her killer with her cell phone.
Police have released a video clip, showing several frames of the suspect walking across the Monon High Bridge, an abandoned rail bridge over Deer Creek on the trails, and a voice recording of the man directing the girls “Guys…down the hill!”. The photograph appears to depict a white male wearing blue jeans, a blue coat/jacket, and a hoodie.
Despite this incredible evidence, the killer’s identity remains unknown. It is imperative that the video, audio, and photo of the suspect is seen by as many people as possible. Share this on social media. Talk to your friends and family about the case and ask if they recognize this man. Someone (multiple people!) will be able to identify him- it’s just a matter of getting his image in front of them.
