CHRISTINA JUDD: Good morning. I am Christina Judd, the Communications Director for the Salt Lake City Police Department. Thank you for being here today. Today we will be giving you an update in the homicide of Mackenzie Lueck. In a few moments Chief Brown will share with you details of the case, as well as the investigation that has been ongoing. All of the details that we have right now that are releasable will be released in this press conference. We thank the mayor, Jackie Biskupski for being here, as well as District Attorney Sim Gill and Blake Nakamura. All the comments will be on the record today, and due to the delicate nature of this case they will not be taking any questions afterward. Horrible news was announced on June 27, 2019 in the case of Mackenzie Lueck. Salt Lake City Police confirmed Mackenzie’s remains were found at suspect Ayoola Ajayi’s home, after he murdered her and attempted to burn her remains in his backyard. Christina Judd: Hi. Good morning. Thank you for being here. I’m Christina Judd. I’m the Public Relations Director for The Salt Lake City Police Department. I appreciate your patience and for you being here today. We are about to have an update from Chief Brown. I’d just like to remind everyone this is an ongoing, open, and very dynamic case. The facts may change as we pursue this case and we will continue to update you as much as we can. Given the nature of the case, we’re careful about that and trying to balance the public’s desire to know what’s going on and the integrity of the case. Last night we executed a warrant, one of many, that we have served in the missing Mackenzie Lueck case and we will continue to do so as we develop leads throughout this investigation. Missing Mackenzie Lueck Suspect Ayoola Ajayi House Searched & Disturbing Social Media Posts

Mackenzie Lucek Suspect Ayoola Ajayi ‘s Bizarre Past: The case of Mackenzie Lueck, a 23 year old University of Utah student missing for 11 days, took a dramatic turn overnight with police searching and digging the backyard of a home in the Fair Park, Utah area. On Monday June 17th, Mackenzie flew into Salt Lake City airport after returning from a short trip to attend her grandmother’s funeral in California. She never made it home. According to a police timeline, after texting her parents at 2am MST notifying them that her flight had safely landed, Mackenzie Lueck took a Lyft ride and requested to be dropped off at Hatch Park in North Salt Lake City, arriving to the destination at 2:59am. The Lyft driver told police he saw her greet an individual who was waiting for her in a car, and she did not appear to be in distress.

On June 26, police executed a search warrant at 547 North 1000th W. in Fair Park, Utah. Throughout the night and into the morning a massive team of investigators scoured the home and backyard, bringing out boxes and bags of evidence including ammunition. A SkyTeam helicopter captured detectives digging multiple holes in the backyard, and K9s were on the scene.

During the April 2019 press conference, Indiana State Police released a new sketch & Delphi Murders audio file of the suspect speaking. The audio was recorded by Libby German on her cell phone. This remarkable young woman had the foresight to record both video & audio of the man responsible for the death or her and friend Abby Williams.

In addition to the release of the Delphi Murders audio file, a new police sketch of the suspect was released. Investigators have instructed the public to disregard the previous well known sketch commonly referred to as “Bridge Guy” (which appeared to be a middle aged man wearing a cap), as the individual depicted is no longer a suspect. Additionally they are asking the public to stop sharing the old sketch on social media, and not to compare the two. The new sketch – and the new sketch only- should be the only focus going forward. While the man appears to have a youthful appearance, police say he may actually “fall in the age range from his 20’s to late 30’s”. State police said that the Delphi community should reflect back on people they know in the community that look similar to the [new] sketch released on April 22, 2019, especially if that person has changed their appearance since the murders occurred in February 2017″. On Monday April 22, 2019, investigators from Delphi Indiana Police, Indiana State Police, The FBI and Carroll County Sheriff’s office invited the media and public to attend a press conference with new information about the murders of Libby German and Abby Williams. Chris Watts’ mistress Nichol Kessinger is currently on trial. No, it’s not happening at the Weld County Courthouse in Colorado where her boyfriend was sentenced. It’s taking place across the internet- in comment sections of news articles, posts on Reddit & YouTube videos. In the Court of Public Opinion, and as long as you have WiFi, you too can serve as judge and jury.

Nichol Kessinger dated a married man, and she knew he was wed. According to Kessinger’s 2018 police interviews, Watts told her he and his wife Shanann Watts were separating and planned to divorce. Later in his 2019 interrogation, Chris confirmed this, admitting he lied to Nikki about being separated and divorcing (we’ve been in the process of typing the entire five hour interview- if you’re interesting you can read the Chris Watts Confession Transcript here).

Despite this, a vast amount of true crime followers don’t buy it. They are extremely vocal about their position that not only did Nikki know that Chris was taken man, but she was involved in the crimes. Of course, cheating isn’t right, and it’s absolutely not out of the realm of possibility that she knew more about the actual status of his relationship than she admitted in an attempt …

On March 11, 2019, Shanann Watts’ parents appeared on the Dr. Phil show. Shanann’s mother Sandi Rzucek, her father Frank Rzucek, and brother Frankie Rzucek Jr. sat down with Dr. Phil and discussed their reaction towards Chris Watts’ horrific admission about the way he killed their beloved daughter and grandchildren. Despite everything they have been through – truly the worst nightmare imaginable – this family is remarkable. Their grace and strength shines through the darkness, and to call them ‘inspiring’ is putting it lightly.

Sandi also revealed something quite amazing: on the morning her daughter died, she awoke from sleep and ‘felt’ her daughter’s spirit. Call it mother’s intuition or something more spectacular, but Shanann’s mother immediately knew something was wrong. This is backed up by case evidence. When Shanann Watts’ friend Nickole Atkinson became concerned after not hearing from Shanann the morning of her untimely death, she called Sandi Rzucek. Police body cam captured part of the speaker phone conversation where Sandi said Chris was “acting funny”. Shortly after, it is recorded in police reports that Sandi reached out to the police directly (this was before Shanann, Bella and Celeste were even considered missing persons) and stated she believed there was “foul play” and “[Chris Watts] was involved in the disappearance of her daughter and grandchildren”.

Chris Watts on Suicide Watch: BREAKING NEWS 03/13/19

Chris Watts has been placed on suicide watch, a source with Wisconsin Department of Corrections told RadarOnline this afternoon. While the exact reasoning for placing Chris Watts on suicide watch is unclear, Radar implies it is due to statements he made to the FBI, CBI, and Frederick CO police last month regarding other inmates encouraging him to harm himself.

This doesn’t quite make sense (and I have another theory why this occurred, which I’ll discuss below). For the past several days, we’ve been typing up the Chris Watts confession interview transcript in it’s entirety, and the issue with other inmates occurred at his former jail in Weld County, Colorado. He was only there for a few months before being moved to Dodge Correctional Institution in Waupun, Wisconsin (where the most recent FBI interview took place), and says he is much happier there and has no issues with other prisoners. Below is exactly what Chris stated in the interview about problems in prison, and life in his new facility:
